Common AdBlue & SCR Faults We Fix

SCR systems are notoriously fragile. Our specialized diagnostics identify and solve the exact problem.

Engine Start Countdown

The dreaded countdown 'No restart in XXX km'. Once expired, the ECU prevents engine ignition. We reset the counter and eliminate the fault permanently.

NOx Sensor Faults

DTCs like P229F or P2200 indicate upstream or downstream NOx sensor issues. We diagnose the heating circuit and calibrate signals correctly.

Dosing Pump & Heater

Pressure drops or defective heating elements (P204F, P20EE). Dealerships quote €2,500+ for whole tank replacement — we repair selectively.

Our Diagnostics & Repair

Professional Solutions Instead of Costly Blind Replacement

State-of-the-art interface engineering: We resolve SCR and AdBlue faults with precision, manufacturer compliance, and zero vehicle stress

Gentle OBD Solution

Whenever the engine control unit is not locked by manufacturer firewalls, we connect directly through the standard 16-pin OBD-II port in the footwell. Fault codes, restart countdowns, and sensor calibrations are rectified purely electronically – zero disassembly required.

Secure Bench Solution (Modern ECUs)

For modern Euro 6d diesel vehicles (e.g. Bosch MD1 / MG1 in Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, VW) where OBD writing is blocked, our diagnostic bench accesses the ECU directly via external connector pins – 100% without opening, drilling, or soldering the casing. Factory seals and waterproofing remain intact.

Targeted Hardware Overhaul

Crystallized dosing injectors, defective NOx sensors (Bank 1 & 2), or failed tank heating elements: Instead of blindly replacing the entire AdBlue tank assembly for €2,500+, we pinpoint and replace only the defective component using OEM parts.

We read all fault codes with high-precision diagnostic tools and inspect operating parameters (pressure, temperature, NOx values) in real-time.

2. Professional Repair

We execute the repair or ECU programming, reset the limp-mode start countdown, and verify all system parameters.

3. Test Drive & Handover

After a verified test drive, we return your fully operational vehicle – free from annoying warning lights and countdowns.

Frequently Asked Questions

AdBlue Repair FAQ

Essential details on costs, process, and technical solutions

What is the difference between OBD and Bench solutions for AdBlue repair?
OBD Solution: We connect our diagnostic and calibration equipment directly to the standard 16-pin OBD-II port in your vehicle cabin. The ECU remains installed and the repair is carried out purely via software in a very short time.

Bench Solution: On newer vehicles (Euro 6d since ~2018 with Bosch MD1 / MG1 ECUs), manufacturers block OBD writing via internal gateways. In this case, we temporarily unmount the ECU and connect on our test bench directly to the original connector pins. The decisive advantage: Unlike outdated, risky methods, the control unit is 100% NOT opened. Factory silicone seals, water resistance, and warranty integrity remain completely untouched.
Why do dealerships quote thousands of euros for AdBlue faults?
Dealership policy usually dictates replacing entire assemblies rather than individual components. Even if only one sensor or a heating element has failed, the entire tank, pump, and harness assembly is replaced. We repair selectively and prevent costly blind replacements.
Can I continue driving despite "No engine start in 1000 km"?
The vehicle operates normally until the counter reaches 0 km. Once 0 km is reached, the ECU will permanently prevent restarting the engine until cleared with professional diagnostics. Schedule an appointment early to avoid being stranded!
How long does the AdBlue repair take at your Frankfurt workshop?
In most cases, diagnosis and software-based resolution are completed within 1 to 2 hours. You can comfortably wait for your vehicle in our customer lounge.
Do you offer a mobile on-site service?
Yes! If your vehicle already refuses to start or the remaining distance is insufficient to reach our workshop, we offer mobile emergency service across Frankfurt and within a 150 km radius.
